The day has finally come. It's official. Team Canada has been selected. Although it has been a long and challenging process - the phone calls to players with the final results made it all worth it. We wish to thank everyone that applied to this year's team - the number of solid applications that we received is a good indication of the skill and talent that is present across Canada.
With the announcement of Team Canada this week, we can't help but share this video. Lots of work has gone into making our TC athletes the athletes that they are today and this video does a great job of showing one of the people that we all need to thank. Gone are the days of cotton t-shirts with hand-drawn logos and here to stay are sublimated artwork, design competitions and jersey trading. The start of the season marks the time when teams plan out their “brand” from head to toe. Teams ask themselves what they want to wear as they attempt to dominate the socks off their opponents. Will it be the full black jersey and shorts that emits a level of intimidation or the neon pink shorts and baby blue top that screams: “Our uniforms might be extremely girly but you are going to be watching a pink shorts fly by your face as I lay out for that disc and make you look silly”. Whatever your dream is – there’s someone out there willing to make it happen.
